Pittman belongs to 2nd Battalion, 198th Combined Arms out of Senatobia, Miss. The battalion commander, Lt. Col. Kerry Goodman of Meridian, Miss., accompanied one of his line companies on a convoy security mission from Contingency Operating Location Q-West to Forward Operating Base Warrior, Nov. 24 and 25.
