    Omar Moumin, Djiboutian police K-9 handler, watches over the shoulder of Navy Capt. John Shapira, an Expeditionary Medical Facility anesthesiologist, as he places an endotracheal tube here, Oct. 23. Hektor, a Djiboutian K-9 working dog, fell asleep from an anesthetic given to him in the EMF. Hektor will undergo surgery to test for cancer due to an abnormality. Shapira is deployed from Naval Medical Center, San Diego, Calif.
