Staff Sgt. Elizabeth Spradley, an explosives ordnance disposal technician, collects evidence from a mock Improvised Explosive Device during training, Oct. 26. EOD uses robots during missions to disarm IEDs and look for additional IEDs. The robots are used by Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams to ensure coalition safety is taken when dealing with IEDs. The EOD Airmen are Joint Expeditionary Tasked Airmen from the 755th Air Expeditionary Group, 755th EOD Alpha Flight, attached to the 741st EOD Battalion. Spradley, an Albuquerque, N.M. native, is deployed from Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany.
