Local children give homemade bread and seasoning to members of the Bulgarian Land Forces, U.S. Navy and Army construction teams on Oct. 5 during a reopening ceremony at the Vela Peeva Kindergarten here. Members of the Bulgarian Land Forces from the Center for Preparation of Tank Specialists in Sliven, U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3 of Port Hueneme, Calif., U.S. Army 902nd Engineer Vertical Company, 15th Engineer Battalion, from Schweinfurt, Germany, and a local contractor worked on the project. The combined effort was part of Joint Task Force-East's humanitarian civic assistance training, which also aided in improving the quality of life for children.
