Lt. j.g. Mike Kattula, Navy Riveron Two, crosses the finish line of the Basra Ten Miler Oct. 4 at Contingency Operating Base Basra. Kattula won the event, finishing in just over one hour and four minutes. The run was planned to mirror the 25th annual Army Ten Miler in Washington, D.C. Nearly 200 runners completed the course of two laps around the COB. The first 100 received t-shirts sponsored by Movin' Shoes of Madison, Wis., according to Staff Sgt. Katherine Fults, member of the 34th Red Bull Infantry Division band and coordinator for the run.
