Soldiers build rapport with local villagers

A U.S. Soldier with the 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, lets Afghan children in the village of Esquabad inspect his uniform. Charlie Company Soldiers from the battalion, were conducting an assessment with the village elder to gauge their acceptance of coalition forces in the area.
