Chief Petty Officer (select) Adriana Cabarcas leads her fellow chief petty officer selects in physical training in the hangar bay of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. PT is a major part of the chief induction process due to the fact that chiefs are expected to lead their junior Sailors by example in all aspects of Navy life, including fitness. Ronald Reagan is currently deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. Operations in the U.S. 5th Fleet are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
