Marines with 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, practice calling in live mortar fire during a combined-fires training exercise aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Aug. 25, 2009. The 1/6 Marines joined Tactical Air Control Party course students from the Expeditionary Warfare Training Group, Atlantic, in Norfolk, Va., qualifying as joint terminal air controllers and forward air controllers, to practice controlling suppressive fires and close air support maneuvers.
