U.S. Army Lt. Col. Kimo Gallahue, commander, 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, and U.S. Army Sgt. Matthew Gallagher lead the personal security detail through a village near Mayden Shahr during a dismounted patrol, Aug. 26. The Soldiers dismounted from their mounted patrol to better inspect the area for signs of improvised explosive devices.
