Clay Brock Jr. to the incoming Task Force 449 Brigade Commander Col. Paul D. Barbee, his command staff and the Soldiers of Task Force 449. Task Force 34 conducted an official transfer of authority ceremony with Task Force 449 on Joint Base Balad, Iraq Westside Morale Welfare and Recreation center, May 18. The 449th Theater Aviation Brigade was mobilized, Sept. 22, 2008, and with less than two months at the Fort Bragg Mobilization Station, TF 449 deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraq Freedom.
