The Australian army Landing Craft Mechanize AB 1060 maneuvers alongside the U.S. Navy Landing Craft Utility 1634, assigned to assault craft unit 1, for a personnel transfer. LCU 1634 was launched from the amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga, to transfer personnel and equipment from ship to shore during Talisman Saber 2009. Talisman Saber is a biennial joint military exercise between the U.S. and Australia focusing on operational and tactical interoperability.
