First Army NCO, Soldier of the Year Competition held in Florida

Staff Sgt. Gregory Pyrek and Spec. Kevin Jarvis are the winners in the First Army 2009 Non-commissioned Officer and Soldier of the Year competition, respectively. Pyrek, from the 5th Armored Brigade, Division West, and Jarvis, with the 166th Aviation Brigade, also Division West, will go on to represent First Army at the U.S. Forces Command NCO and Soldier of the Year competition to be held at Fort Hood, Texas in late July. There, they will compete against NCOs and Soldiers who have also advanced through FORSCOMs other subordinate commands.
