Lance Cpl. Corey L. Gosey unloads one of many bags of mail received for his battalion, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, June 17, from the back of a Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle. Gosey was a mortarman with 1/5 until a knee injury put him on a different career path. The 1st Bn., 5th Marines is an element of Regimental Combat Team 3 whose mission is to conduct counterinsurgency operations in partnership with the Afghan national security forces to improve security for the Afghan people and extend legitimate governance in southern Afghanistan.
