Capt. Phillip Anderson, a resident of Plainfield, Ind., and commander of the 1538th Transportation Company, 419th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade, explains the various elements of the new 38th Sustainment Brigade shoulder-sleeve insignia to the 1538th Soldiers during a unique type of "patch ceremony," on May 1. The 1538th Trans. Co., a subordinate unit of the 38th Sustainment Brigade of the Indiana National Guard, replaced their unit patch, formerly the 38th Infantry Division "CY" patch, with the newly-authorized patch. The 1538th is the first unit eligible to wear the brigade's new SSI.
