Tedokon Yasunori talks about his Fence Clean Project and Heart Clean Project during a visit to American Forces Network Okinawa’s radio station Dec. 22 at Camp Foster. These projects take place around Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, and promote friendship and mutual cooperation between the local Okinawan residents, service members and their families. These groups are often seen cleaning vandalism and debris from the fence, as well as waving, smiling, and saying ‘Thank you’ to service members during their morning commutes. Tedokon is a radio host with FM21, a TV host with the Channel Sakura internet TV, and the leaders of the above two groups.
