A U.S. Marine assigned to SPMAGTF Crisis Response - Africa fast ropes from an MV-22B Osprey, on Morón Air Base, Spain, Nov. 20, 2014. The fast roping technique can be is used for rapid insertion onto a location, such as a rooftop or ship's deck, from an aircraft, without having to land. SPMAGTF-CR-AF is a highly mobile crisis response force that conducts missions to protect U.S. personnel, property and interests in the U.S. Africa Command area of responsibility.
