Paratroopers gain confidence in M50 protective mask

First Lt. Alexander J. Klink, a paratrooper assigned to 127th Engineer Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division lifts his arms in the air after exiting a chamber filled with CS gas, Oct. 28, 2014, at Fort Bragg, N.C. Paratroopers from throughout the battalion tested their newly-issued M50 joint service general purpose masks, which feature twin conformal filters and provide 24 hours of continuous eye-respiratory protection in nuclear, biological and chemical environments. The M50 replaces the M40 field protective mask. (U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt. Mary S. Katzenberger)
