    USS Germantown (LSD 42)

U.S. Navy Chaplain Yonatan Warren, from Hampton, Va., and Marine Chief Warrant Officer Kevin Warmath, from Milan, Tenn., both assigned to the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), assemble a Sukkah ceremonial booth for the festival of Sukkot celebration on the flight deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42). Sukkot is an annual Jewish festival commemorating the 40-year period when the children of Israel wandered the desert living in temporary shelters. Germantown is part of the Peleliu Expeditionary Strike Group, commanded by Rear Adm. Hugh Wetherald, and is conducting joint forces exercises in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
