Marines of Combat Logistics Company 23, Combat Logistics Regiment 25, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, also known as the "Roughnecks" step out on a 6-mile hike aboard Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, Oct. 3. The hike, the second of four planned hikes, is conducted to condition the Marines and prepare them for a 10-mile hike at the end of October. The company-wide hikes are designed to increase the Roughnecks' physical and mental readiness while amplifying unit morale and camaraderie. Combat Logistics Company 23 provides intermediate supply, motor transportation and ground equipment support to the Air Station and subordinate units of Marine Aircraft Group 31.
