U.S. Marine Landing Support Specialists with Headquarters Regiment, 1st Marine Logistics Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force participate in external lift tactics during a CH-53 Day Battle Drill at Landing Zone Bull, Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range, Calif., Sept. 27, 2014. The exercise is part of Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) 1-15, a seven-week training event hosted by Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1) cadre. MAWTS-1 provides standardized tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine Aviation Training and Readiness and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
