1st Air Cavalry Brigade Hero Receives Award

Spc. Ryan Frushour, of Denver, a UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter crew chief in Company B, 3rd Assault Helicopter Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, received an award from Harry Munn, of Hewitt, Texas, commander, Veteran of Foreign Wars post 6008, at Fort Hood, Texas, March 6. The Life Saving Award and $100 check was in recognition for Frushour's rescue of an injured motorist on Dec. 31 2008.
