Retired Capt. Robert Lias walks to embrace his old first sergeant, retired 1st Sgt. James Parham, during registration Sept. 12 for the Liquid Logistics Reunion at Stewart-Roye Hall. Lias and Parham were the command team for Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 49th Quartermaster Group, the first unit formed for what would be the Army's only active duty pipeline unit. The unit deactivated here two years ago.
