The amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) approaches the Military Sealift Command ship USNS Matthew Perry (T-AKE 9) from the starboard side as Sailors assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5) stand by to conduct a connected replenishment at sea (CONREP) evolution with Perry. Peleliu is the lead ship in the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group (PEL ARG), along with Germantown, on Peleliu’s final regularly scheduled Western Pacific deployment in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region before decommissioning early next year.
