Spc. Alexander Curry, a Stewart, Fla., native and unmanned aerial vehicle operator with Company F, 227th Aviation Regiment, 1st Air Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division, operates a MQ-1C Gray Eagle unmanned aircraft system inside of a ground control station at Robert Gray Army Airfield, West Fort Hood, Texas, Aug. 27. As an operator, Curry is charged with constantly scanning the controls during a Gray Eagle flight to ensure they’re operating at the proper location, altitude, temperature and speed, among other things.
