U.S. Army Lt. Col. Gregg Haley showers his junior officers with sand during the stress shoot on Aug. 20, 2014. Haley serves as the commander, 3rd Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment, 4tth Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division. The stress shoot was one event the junior officers had to endure to complete the Mangudai. Haley held the Mangudai to test the mind and body of his squadron’s junior officers.
