    I Marine Expeditionary Force

    A Marine with 1st Platoon, Company B, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion uses the one-rope bridge method to tug his own body weight and the weight of his gear across a 200-foot gap in the ground at the Black Rapids Training Site, Fort Greely, Alaska, August 7, 2014. The Marines of 1st Platoon hiked about 10 miles of mountainous terrain in the training area and used obstacles like this to practice skills not easily applied in their usual training environment.
