Service members of the 17th Field Artillery Brigade from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, participated in an early morning "Thunder Rumble" 5K run on Camp Arifjan, Aug. 14. This event fosters esprit de corps among the deployed and rear elements of the unit, and mirrors the annual run hosted in the town Tumwater, Washington, which neighbors JBLM. The 17th Field Artillery Brigade's mission is to provide trained and ready units capable of deploying to any theater. They plan, synchronize, and execute strike, counterstrike and close supporting fire in support of shaping operations throughout the spectrum of Decisive Operations. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
