Capt. Steven L. Parode is promoted to the rank of rear admiral (lower half) by Vice Adm. Jan E. Tighe, commander, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command/ U.S. TENTH Fleet, during a ceremony held at the National Cryptologic Museum. Parode is finishing service as a Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group fellow, Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group, Newport, R.I., and has been assigned as director of intelligence, J-2, United States Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.
