Fredericksburg, Va., native 1st Lt. Mitchell Messick, assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, exits a tunnel with his team’s “precious” cargo at the obstacle course event of the 7th Army Joint Multinational Training Command Best Warrior Competition Aug. 12. The three-day competition will end Aug. 14 with the announcement of the 7th Army JMTC Officer, Noncommissioned Officer and Soldier of the Year.
