Marines with 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, watch a Navy Landing Craft Air Cushioned vessel transport equipment between the USS Kearsarge and shore from the top of an Amphibious Assault Vehicle before conducting well-deck qualification with the USS Kearsarge in the waters off the coast of Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., July 31, 2014. The exercise gave the battalion a chance to qualify for amphibious operations by boarding and deploying from a Wasp-class amphibious assault ship.
