Johnson is a team leader 1st Platoon, Company K, 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment (Reinforced), the ground combat element of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Afghanistan. Johnson and his fellow Marines patrolled with the ANP in search of illegal activity and contraband. Close cooperation between Afghan security forces and International Security Assistance Force is essential in achieving the operational objectives of both parties.
