Afghan national policemen patrolled Delaram with the Marines of 1st Platoon, Company K, 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment (Reinforced), the ground combat element of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Afghanistan, in search of illegal activity and contraband. SPMAGTF-A's goal is to set the conditions for the Afghan security forces to grow, gain effectiveness and succeed against the enemy.
