Carter Bertone, a Marine re-enactor, educates visitors about famous battles of the Pacific Theater on June 8, 2014, during World War II Weekend in Reading, Pa. Visitors to the Marine’s encampment were also able to see how Navajo code talkers sent their messages and learned about various small arms. The weekend transported visitors back in time as they were surrounded by thousands of re-enactors in period-style uniforms representing various nations. The weekend also featured period entertainment, weapons demonstrations, mock battles and an air show. (Photo by Cpl. David Bessey)
