A Navy MH-60 Seahawk attached to the 8th Amphibious Squadron, hovers as the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Raid Force, Force Reconnaissance Company, 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, fast ropes onto a simulated vessel of interest during a Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure exercise at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., July 15, 2014. VBSS operations are primarily conducted by the Maritime Raid Force for the purpose of Maritime Interdiction Operations. The exercise is part of Realistic Urban Training and is the first major pre-deployment training exercise for the 24th MEU in preparation for their deployment later this year.
