A U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II assigned to the 303rd Expeditionary Fighter Squadron launches from the runway on an afternoon mission at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan July 18, 2014. The mission of the 303rd Fighter Squadron is to provide armed over watch and close air support for ground units in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
