Members of the Parris Island Fire Department and Lady’s Island Fire Department trained together during the Tomato Festival held July 12, 2014, on Cane Island in Beaufort, S.C. The department worked with Lady’s Island Fire Department to practice decontamination drills and test their equipment’s capabilities to remove “toxins,” tomatoes in this instance, from contaminated persons.
