1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division

Command Sgt. Maj. Russell Reimers, 7th Squadron, 10th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division-Baghdad, congratulates cavalry scouts Staff Sgt. Michael Blake, from Martha's Vineyard, Mass., and Staff Sgt. Richard Valencia, from Indio, Calif., for exemplary performance and outstanding achievement, earning them the induction into the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club. Senior leaders from the 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B, took the opportunity to recognize Blake, assigned to Troop A, and Valencia, Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 7th Sqdn., 10th Cav. Regt., awarding the two with medallions and U.S. Army Commendation Medals, Jan. 13, during a special ceremony at Forward Operating Base Falcon, in southern Baghdad. "I see these two non-commissioned officers everyday," said Reimers, a native of Rockmart, Ga. "They have all the character and leadership and all the good qualities and traits that one would find in an NCO. They are humble, and true caring leaders."
