The Marines are part of a civil affairs team with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force – Afghanistan. SPMAGTF-A and the International Security Assistance Force support the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in its efforts to provide security and services to the Afghan people.
