Spc. Deangelo Harrison, an information and technical specialist with the 73rd Signal Company, set up the Harbormaster Command and Control Center at Ford Island, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, July 8 to support and participate in senarios and exercises during the biennial Rim of the Pacific 2014 exercise. The HCCC is able to track and communicate with any ship and vessel entering or exiting a particular port within 10 nautical miles. A mobile and deployable system, the HCCC can be set up in less than six hours and streamlines port traffic ensuring no loss of life or cargo.
