Air Force Col. Douglas Lengenfelder escorts Carlos Anibal Aguilar, the Argentine national director of military strategic intelligence aboard the Mayport-based guided-missile destroyer USS Carney. While in Mayport, Aguilar and Argentine Rear Adm. Jose Luis Perez Varela, the Naval Attach to the Argentine Embassy in Washington, also met with U.S. 4th Fleet commander Rear Adm. Joseph D. Kernan to become familiar with U.S. 4th Fleet and to strengthen partner nation relationships.
