13th AMU maintainers support Eager Lion 2014

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class John Lace, an assistant dedicated crew chief with the 13th Aircraft Maintenance Unit at Misawa Air Base, Japan, does a preflight check on an F-16 Fighting Falcon during Exercise Eager Lion May 27, 2014, at an air base in northern Jordan. Throughout the two-week exercise, 13th AMU maintainers are responsible for generating near-daily sorties that played a role in simulated scenarios. This year, more than 12,500 personnel from more than 20 nations are participating in the exercise, which is designed to strengthen military-to-military relationships and interoperability. Lace's hometown is Pascoag, R.I. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Brigitte N. Brantley/Released)
