Role players with 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, beat on barrels as part of a protest during the unit’s Foreign Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief training exercise aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C., May 15, 2014. The unit’s main objective was to evacuate American citizens from a foreign country that had recently suffered a natural disaster. The protesters beat on the drums to keep a constant level of disruption and rally the other role players to join their protest.
