Sgt. Thomas Evans (middle), a native of Trenton, New Jersey, and Spc. Dustin Smothers (right), a native of Jasper, Ala., both infantryman with Company B, 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment “Desert Rogues”, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, stand tall after they were both awarded the Bronze Star Medal with ‘V’ device for Valor here at the Rogues motor pool, May 16.
