U.S. Marines with Alpha Company, 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion move to their next objective during Exercise Desert Scimitar aboard Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, Calif. April 15, 2014. Desert Scimitar enables 1st Marine Division to test and refine its Command and Control capabilities by acting as the headquarters element for a forward deployed Marine Expiditionary force.
