The Color Guard, soldiers from 17th Field Artillery Brigade, 7th Infantry Division, march down the aisle to post the Colors for the We the People: Project Citizen Washington State Showcase at the Washington State Legislative Building, Olympia, Wash., on Saturday May 17, 2014. We the People: Project Citizen is a curricular program for people middle school age and older that promotes responsible participation in local and state government. Students or members of youth organizations work together to research a public policy problem in their community and produce an alternative solution to the policy for local or state authorities to adopt. This event takes place every year in May.
