Wheelers for the Wounded welcomes Fort Hood wounded warriors

Richard Cruz, one of the founders of Wheelers for the Wounded, welcomes Spc. Austin Weedor, a signal support systems specialist in 1st Battalion, Fort Hood Warrior Transition Brigade, to their event at Hidden Falls Adventure Park, May 3, 2014. Wheelers for the Wounded is an event put on expressly for wounded service members, from conflicts past and present, and their families. Supported by the off-road community in Texas, wounded warriors are afforded the opportunity to get out of their barracks and hospital rooms for a day of fun and adventure in the beautiful setting of the hill country of Texas.
