Acting Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Michael Lumpkin speaks to Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command personnel on the implementation of its merger with the Defense Prisoners of War/Missing Personnel Office based at the Pentagon at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, April 9, 2014. Lumpkin spoke to the future of accounting and some of the changes that are coming to the command and also answered questions from the audience. JPAC conducts global search, recovery and laboratory operations to identify unaccounted-for Americans from past conflicts in order to support the Department of Defense's personnel accounting efforts.
