Air Force Senior Master Sgt. (Ret.) David Hendrickson, father of Spc. Robert Hendrickson, a fallen Soldier of Operation Iraqi Freedom Two, speaks to the families, friends and veterans in attendance during a memorial ceremony hosted by the 2nd “Lancer” Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st “Ironhorse” Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, April 5, at Fort Hood, Texas. David described conversations with his son during his Robert’s mid-tour leave and how he talked in detail about those who during Operation Iraqi Freedom Two, but he also realizing, “I have a family here (too) ... thank you for very much for making us a part of your family.” Hendrickson said.
