Staff Sgt. Frank Vaughn recently received a 2013 Upper Midwest Regional Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for his part in producing the documentary, “Battlefield to the Home Front,” while serving as a print journalist with the Army Reserve’s 343rd Mobile Public Affairs Detachment attached to the 34th “Red Bull” Infantry Division in Iraq in 2009. Vaughn, a Little Rock, Ark., native, currently serves as the noncommissioned officer in charge of the chaplain-led Strong Bonds Program for the Army Reserve’s 99th Regional Support Command, headquartered at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J.
