Two 12th Combat Aviation Brigade CH-47 Chinooks lift off Bunker Drop Zone in Grafenwoehr after picking up paratroopers, assigned to 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne) during a combined-arms live-fire exercise March 28, 2014. The combined-arms live-fire exercise was conducted at the 7th Army Joint Multinational Training Command’s Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels Training Areas in order to prepare the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade to deploy to Afghanistan to provide medical evacuation and combat support to the NATO International Security Assistance Force mission.
